  • Installers afraid of poison Ivey



    Techs showed up to install service and informed my wife that they were both allergic to poison Ivy and couldn't install. It was growing up the pole across the road and on the side of the building. No one mentioned that if there were fearsome plants that they wouldn't install service.   • Tech are not knowledgable and lie



    This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. I had a tech out to connect the digital converters. The tech looked me in the eye and said my I would still be able to record and watch tapes on my VCR. He lied to my face. Not only does the VCR not record OR play anything.   • Suddenlink Installation Disaster



    I started using Suddenlink as my ISP two and a half years ago, as they were (and still are) the only broadband provider in my area. At the time, I was renting while waiting for my home to be built, and was told by the Suddenlink salesperson that if I went with a two year service agreement, there would be no problems transferring to the new service address once it was constructed.   • Lies and backpedaling



    This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. 2 years ago was told that they would install after engineer came out to my house and gave the ok to run cable. 3 months later no cable and no response so I went with satellite. Called again 3 weeks ago and they said yes we can take it off of block and install on 4-20. I bought a new modem and arranged for someone to be home.     I have been waiting over two wweeks for the pleasure of receiving service already paid for. Two techs have cone out to no avail and hour agents seem to care less. How you can subnect your customers tto such poor service and stay in business is mind boggeling but its probably because its you or direct TV. Your ads are lies because your service iis terrible.     AVOID SUDDEN LINK IF POSSIBLE. I CALLED TO CANCEL MY SERVICE. I WENT ANOTHER COMPANY. CALLED FIRST WEEK IN SEPTEMBER. THEY GUY ON THE PHONE WAS REAL NICE.     This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. After 6 days and 2 calls to "tech support" my Suddenlink email still is not working. 1st "tech" made a couple of limp wrist attempts and then told me she was going to turn in a ticket. A ticket??? to whom I asked? She said their tech department! Turn in a ticket for repair to yourself!!     Customer service is horrible. I have been lied to from day one. The first time I called to set up my service, the lady tells me I don't have to pay a deposit. Well, guess who had to pay a deposit? ME. The gentleman was late coming to hook up my cable, so I called and a man told me they would credit my activation fee back to my account.     On April 28, 2011, I called Suddenlink to obtain basic service. Representative confirm Friday May 13th that my service would be installed between hours of 4pm- 6pm. On May 13th approximately 6:02pm Still no technician!     THE INSTALLATION GUY CAME AND TALKED ABOUT BEER THE ENTIRE TIME. HE WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL AND DID NOT ASK ME IF I HAD ANY OTHER QUESTIONS AT THE END. HE JUST GOT HIS PART DONE AND LEFT.     I had cable with Suddenlink for approximately six months, I was not impressed with the service at all. The channels were always out or the sound was missing... it was a total disaster for cable service. So, I called and asked the woman to disconnect my service (12-15-2010).     I am EXTREMELY dissapointed with suddenlink! If it is not one thing it is something else. I have had to call customer service 3 times just this week asking them what is up with my cable!     I was a suddenlink employee (media) and as an employee I had the entire Suddenlink cable internet and phone package with all the bells and whistles. When I resigned from Suddenlink, I chose a package from their website. The package was $122 a month for phone internet and cable.   • Very Poor Customer Service & Installation support



    I called suddenlink 4 weeks back, and they said they would have to add our house to their records, and that would take a week. It took 3 weeks for that to happen, and when the installation was scheduled, they found that there was no suddenlink cable box near our house to give connection to.     I've decided to send this email because I am just fed up with everything about your service. We have had so many issues, yet we can never seem to get them resolved.     Customer Service at Suddenlink is almost non-existant. When Suddenlink bought out Cox I had hoped it would improve but it is much worse. They are the only service available to us and they certainly act like it. You can't rely on a word they tell you and some of their employees are rude with bad attitudes and the rest are just incompetent.     After moving into a new house last month I decided to choose Sudden Link as my cable and internet provider. My name is Brian Riley in White Oak TX. SuddenLink service was decent until all the introductory specials went out.My bundle went from $165.00 to $280.00 plus you are billed in advance so you start off in the hole.started keeping my receipts to keep up with payments but due to advanced billing i will forever be on time with them unless you pay up the bill 560 dollars that i dont have sorry suddenlink our relationship is about to come to an end. thanx but no thanx.
